Styling the RadDropDownList

* This article, and all our great Telerik ASP.NET documentation, Is available on the Telerik ASP.NET menu

Styling Telerik controls is usually straightforward—until you try to override the RadDropDownList’s enabled and disabled states. The themes apply opacity rules that make disabled controls look washed out, and simple CSS overrides don’t always behave the way you expect. If you’re building a tablet-friendly UI or increasing font sizes for accessibility, the default styling becomes even more noticeable. This article shows the exact CSS needed to take full control of the RadDropDownList’s appearance, including clean, predictable colors for both enabled and disabled states.
